Mi Chante Restaurante
About This Spot
Step into Mi Chante Restaurante and you immediately sense a warm, inviting pulse that lingers comfortably in the air. Nestled in a quiet neighborhood of Libertad, this spot unfolds with a relaxed familiarity—a place where the daily rhythms slow just enough to savor genuine moments and rich flavors without rush or pretense. It’s neither loud nor hushed, but a gentle hum of life and conversation, accompanied by the soft weaving of piano notes that add an intimate touch to the experience.
The pace here reflects the care poured into every dish, with the kitchen offering a heartfelt take on traditional Mexican flavors that feel both honest and satisfying. The aroma of fresh tortillas mingles with the subtle spice of freshly made salsas, inviting you to taste beyond just food but a story rooted deeply in local traditions. Whether mornings begin here over a robust café de olla or evenings wind down with a plate of molcajete or tender carnitas, every bite encourages a quiet celebration of Tijuana’s vibrant culinary spirit.
Parking across the street, safe and accessible, adds to the ease with which guests settle in, making it clear this is a neighborhood treasure cherished by locals. The service carries a calm confidence, attentive without intrusion—letting the food and the moment take center stage. It’s a spot where familiar faces return not just for the menu but for the comforting indecipherable magic that makes a place feel like a small home within the bustling city. Mi Chante is a reminder that discovery often lives in those unassuming corners where tradition and warmth coexist so naturally.

The food was delicious. I wish there was more meat than vegetables, on the plate. Machaca was very good, with fresh tortillas rice and beans. I also had coffe, was very good, with free refill. Total price $11.00 dlls. Plus free parking. They also have a gentleman playing the piano. I recomend this restaurant.

We came a little late after taking our cat to the vet & the food was delicious and the service was quick. There is live music here and just overall it was a nice time before crossing back over to the united states. I got the mole enchilada plate and it was yummy.

Excellent service and food, price is consistent for the quality of their food. Im proud to have this restaurant in my neighborhood and city of Tijuana. A must to go if you enjoy really nice food.

The establishment has, thus far, served the most exceptional Cafe De Olla experienced during our time in Tijuana. The culinary offerings were delightful, and the seafood molcajete, served at a high temperature, was particularly satisfying, though the heat has left a lingering effect on my tongue. The dish is substantial and includes a choice of handmade corn or flour tortillas. The posole, ordered by my wife, was deemed satisfactory, though it did not surpass her own preparation. Furthermore, the pricing at this location is quite reasonable.

Lots of parking on both sides of the street for convenience for starters. The restaurant itself is very nice and even had a piano player. Breakfast and dinner menu is available all day. Enchilada is really good along with the tacos de camaron enchilados. The cafe de olla is addicting but they have regular coffee, fresh juices, smoothies, hot chocolate, even beer and cocktails. They have their own beer and tequila as well
